ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Police Department says it has exhausted multiple options in the search for a 27-year-old man who went missing earlier this week.

According to an urgent appeal from the AbbyPD Thursday evening (Apr. 25), spokesperson Constable Jody Thomas says police have utilized an air search, police dog, search and rescue (Abbotsford-based Central Fraser Valley Search and Rescue) and traced Wesley Bosman’s accounts, but to no avail.

“We are still very actively searching for the missing 27-year-old, Wesley Bosman,” Cst. Thomas said in an email. “Wesley’s disappearance is completely out of character. We are worried about his mental state just prior to disappearing.”

Police say Bosman left his house and was last seen on foot near Ash Street and Cedar Avenue in Abbotsford at approximately 3 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23.

“Wesley left the house leaving his personal belongings behind but the family is adamant he does not suffer from depression and are lost as to where he could be,” Cst. Thomas said. “We have exhausted things like an air search, police dog, search and rescue and tracing his accounts. We are still actively searching for him.”

Bosman is described as Caucasian, 6’2″, 120 pounds, with short, dark blonde hair, an orange-brown moustache and traces of a beard. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt and navy-blue jogging pants.

Anyone with information about him is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225 or text AbbyPD at 222973 (abbypd). The Abbotsford Police file is 2024-16272.
