Highway 11 crash claims life of Abbotsford pedestrian

ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford Police are working to identify a pedestrian who was killed in a fatal crash late Saturday (Apr. 20) night in the 5300 block of Highway 11.
In a news release, police say officers were called to the scene at 11:31 p.m. When they arrived, they discovered a woman with serious and life-threatening injuries. She was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police have not been able to identify the woman. Investigators are urging anyone with information or who may have been in the area between 10 p.m. and midnight to come forward. They’re also asking motorists for dashcam footage taken in the area during that timeline. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
Police closed roads in the area to gather evidence from the scene. Abbotsford police are working with members of the RCMP’s Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services (ICARS) to piece together the events that led to the collision.
