G.W. Graham boys rugby knocks off Walnut Grove 47-5

CHILLIWACK — There’s no place like home for a dominant performance in front of parents and fans.

In a stellar exhibition of skill and strategy, the GW Graham varsity boys rugby team dominated their second and final home game of the season against Walnut Grove on Thursday, concluding with an impressive score of 47-5. The match, which took place in Chilliwack, showcased a strong start with both teams locked in a tight defensive battle, but the Grizzlies quickly took the lead, paving the way for a resounding victory.

Coach Michael Jordan expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, stating, “We were aiming to deliver a complete game, excelling in both offense and defense, and I believe we achieved that today.”

The game was particularly noteworthy for the contributions from Junior Varsity call-ups, Zack Corrigan and Tucker Jordan, who demonstrated exceptional skill and maturity on the field.

Zack Corrigan, notably, scored the first try of the match, setting the tone for the game. Coach Jordan praised the young players, saying, “Both Zack and Tucker play pivotal positions and their ability to step up and perform at this level has made us all very proud.”
