VANCOUVER — Vancouver police say they’ve arrested a suspect after a woman allegedly had an imitation gun pointed at her head by someone who thought she was a police officer.

Police say it happened as two women, who are not police officers, were exiting a ride-hail vehicle in the Downtown Eastside on Thursday.

Investigators say the suspect then assaulted and pointed the gun at a man sitting at a nearby bus stop before leaving the area.

A 31-year-old man has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, and one count of assault.
