CHILLIWACK — Multiple food trucks, vendors, live entertainment and a kids zone are coming to downtown Chilliwack’s Central Community Park next month for a two-day event.

Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival says Party in the Park will have plenty of food options, artisan vendors featuring local crafts and eclectic offerings, live entertainment curated by MacDonald Entertainment Media, and an on-site beer garden with a selection of cold brews.

Party in the Park gets underway at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4 and goes until 8 p.m. that night. The fun continues the next day on Sunday (May 5) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the park, 45951 Victoria Avenue.

Attendees can also partake in a unique celebration that’s perfect for families, friends, and fantasy enthusiasts. There will be a ‘May the 4th Be With You’ Star Wars-theme amid ‘Cinco de Mayo’ celebrations.

“Don your best costumes and stand a chance to win $50 in food truck bucks in our exciting costume contests!” Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival wrote on its website.

The kid zone will feature crafts, face painting and bubbles.

The food truck festival says more information will be coming soon, and suggests people go on their website to get free tickets so that people receive all the latest updates about the event. Early registration helps the food truck and its vendors plan a better event experience for visitors.
