Butter Chicken House in Chilliwack offering free food this weekend
CHILLIWACK — With gorgeous weather in the forecast for Chilliwack all weekend, an Indian restaurant on Vedder Road in Chilliwack is hoping to make the weekend even better for local residents with an act of generosity.
Butter Chicken House, a South Asian restaurant serving everything from butter chicken to veggie pakoras and sweet Thai prawns with garlic, says it will give away free food Sunday, April 14 from 11 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. at 5669 Vedder Road in Chilliwack.
Pawandeep Kaur Brar, who goes by Pawan, messaged Fraser Valley Today on Saturday to say that Butter Chicken House will give away chickpea curry (chana masala) with rice and pop on Sunday from 11-3. It behooves people to swing by earlier than later in case the restaurant runs out of free food to give away.
Back on Sunday, January 14 earlier this year, Butter Chicken House gave away free veggie pakoras, veggie samosas and chai to anyone walking by their Vedder Road location because they wanted to give back to the community and perhaps elevate their community profile.
