CHILLIWACK — A gleaming new home in Promontory overlooking the picturesque mountain ranges surrounding Chilliwack is one of nine grand prizes featured in the 2024 Hometown Heroes Lottery, which launched Saturday (Apr. 13).

According to a news release from the contest, the home on Crimson Ridge in Promontory is located at 46086 Crestview Drive. It has an estimated value of $2.4 million and is highlighted by 4,256 square feet, six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a two-bedroom legal suite and a two-car garage. The prize package also consists of $70,000 in gift certificates for furniture, a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV and $250,000 in cash.

According to a description of the home on the Hometown Heroes Lottery website, the immaculate home boasts 20-foot high ceilings, large windows to enjoy the unparalleled views, sundecks, a private balcony, and upper floor bedrooms with full ensuite bathrooms. The home features modern and energy-efficient appliances.

Every ticket purchased goes directly to supporting funds for essential services at VGH and UBC Hospital, G.F. Strong Rehab Centre, and Vancouver Community Health Services, while also backing Burn Fund initiatives aiding burn and trauma survivors across the province. These initiatives include the Home Away program, mental health support services, and the annual Burn Camp for young survivors, all making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need across British Columbia.

According to the FAQs on the Hometown Heroes Lottery website: “Chances are 1 in 503,000 (total tickets for sale) to win a grand prize. Actual odds depend on number of tickets sold. All inquiries, if any, on the odds of winning, are to be made to the licensee prior to the purchase of ticket(s).”
