CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack Fire, Chilliwack RCMP and B.C. Ambulance Service were dispatched to Greendale Monday morning (Apr. 8) after a two-vehicle crash left two trucks in a ditch at Adams Road and Hopedale Road.

According to scanner traffic, first responders were called to the Greendale area, south of Highway 1, at approximately 8:40 a.m. after two Chevrolet pickups wound up facing northeast in the northeast corner of the ditch.

A tow truck from AJ Towing of Chilliwack was on scene to remove one of the trucks from the ditch, and likely the other newer model Chevrolet pickup.

A female paramedic could be seen treating a middle-aged Caucasian male who may have been the driver or passenger in one of the two vehicles.

A Chilliwack RCMP officer could be seen peering into the older Chevy pickup during the towing process, as its airbag had been deployed.

According to scanner traffic, Chilliwack public works crews were asked to respond to the area due to a stop sign being damaged, and for oil that spilled into the ditch.

Two patients were left in care of B.C. Ambulance Service personnel. Chilliwack Engine 4 was cleared of the scene at 9:25 a.m.
