**Update at 10:25: BC Hydro says crews are on their way to a power outage affecting customers in Chilliwack Thursday morning.**

CHILLIWACK — Residents Hydro customers are without power Thursday morning (Mar. 21) in Chilliwack.

The affected areas include much of downtown Chilliwack, Little Mountain and Rosedale in what appears to be two separate outages.

According to a power outage map on its website, BC Hydro says 3,154 customers west of Young Road and north of McKee Place are without power. These customers lost power at 9:47 a.m. The incident is under investigation. Crews are on their way as of 10:25 a.m.

The second power outage impacts 2,203 customers in an area north of Chilliwack Central Road, east of Young Road, west of McGrath Road, and south of Kitchen Hall Road. Similar to the first power outage mentioned above, the incident is under investigation. Crews are on their way as of 10:25 a.m.
