Chilliwack Chiefs fall to division leading Surrey

CHILLIWACK — Jaiden Sharma stopped 28 shots while Ryder Evers had a goal and one assist, leading the Surrey Eagles to a 3 – 2 victory over the Chilliwack Chiefs Saturday night at the Chilliwack Coliseum.

The Eagles jumped out to an early lead with two goals in the first eight minutes of the game. But Brady Milburn scored for Chilliwack to cut Surrey’s lead to 2 – 1 after the first period.

Evers and Mateo Mrsic traded goals in the second period. Despite outshooting the Coastal Division leading Eagles 14 to 3 in the third period, the Chiefs failed to score the equalizer.

The Chiefs outshot Surrey 30 to 18 over the three periods.
