One woman killed in Abbotsford homicide

ABBOTSFORD — A 41-year-old woman is dead and a 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident in the 3400 block of Wagner Drive Friday (Mar. 15) night in Abbotsford.

Police were called to the home around 10:50 p.m. and discovered the woman who was suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite their best efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries.

Police have confirmed the victim and the suspect were known to each other. The suspect remains in police custody and Abby PD says there is no ongoing risk to the public.

The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit is turning over the investigation to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
