Chilliwack scores early and often in win over Nanaimo

CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Chiefs struck for three goals in the first eight minutes and cruised to a 5 – 2 victory over the Nanaimo Clippers Friday (Mar. 15) at the Chilliwack Coliseum.

Jack Sparkes opened the scoring at the 58 second mark of the game. At 4:23, Caleb Elfering gave the Chiefs a two – nothing lead and then at 7:44, Matt Argentina scored Chilliwack’s third goal.

Brady Milburn and Parker Murray also scored goals for the Chiefs who outshot Nanaimo 38 – 30. Murray led all scorers in the game with a goal and three assists.

The Chiefs will play host to the first place Surrey Eagles Saturday evening at 6 p.m. at the Coliseum. It is the Chiefs’ final home game of the regular season.
