CHILLIWACK — The Langley Rivermen proved they will not be pushovers when the BCHL playoffs come along in a few weeks. The Rivermen scored three times in the third period to defeat the Chilliwack Chiefs 5 – 3 Saturday (Mar. 9) at the Chilliwack Coliseum.

Logan Morrell led Langley with two goals and two assists in the game. The Rivermen outshot Chilliwack 30 to 23.

Parker Murray, Nathan Morin and Jordan Geike scored goals for the Chiefs, who have lost the last two meetings between the clubs by a combined score of 9 – 3.

The Rivermen, who stand seventh in the BCHL Coastal Division standings, will likely face the second-place Chiefs in the first round of the playoffs next month.
