City of Chilliwack offering Family Day activities like free ice skating or discounted swimming
CHILLIWACK — The City of Chilliwack will provide free ice skating at two municipal ice rinks and discounted swimming at two rec centres as part of the Family Day long weekend.
The city says it will offer two free ice skating sessions this weekend, the first of which will happen Sunday, February 18 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chilliwack Coliseum. Skate rentals are $5.
The second ice skating session, which is free, happens Monday, Feb. 19 from 1:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. at Sardis Sports Complex, 5725 Tyson Road. Kids’ skate rentals are free with the purchase of two adult skate rentals for $5 each. There will be complimentary (free) hot chocolate.
If ice skating isn’t your thing, there will be toonie ($2) swimming on Monday, Feb. 19 from 12-6 at the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre, and at the Cheam Leisure Centre Monday from 9-7.
