Cineplex, Red Swan Pizza in Chilliwack offering discounts for a limited time

CHILLIWACK — Going to the movies this month in Chilliwack just got a little bit cheaper, while a Chilliwack pizza joint is offering a sweet deal on a pepperoni pizza this week.

Two Chilliwack businesses are offering discounts off their normal prices for a limited time.

Every Tuesday for the month of February 2024, Cineplex will offer general admission movie tickets and a small bag of popcorn for $5 each, plus tax.

According to a news release from Cineplex, the last time movie tickets in Canada cost $5 was 25 years ago, just before the new millennium.

Cineplex makes a point of mentioning that tickets purchased online will be subject to an online booking fee up to $1.50 per ticket, plus tax, so it may be beneficial to purchase in person. Standard upcharges for premium experiences will apply. This offer is not valid for non-feature film and Event Cinema presentations. All Scene+ members will continue to receive an additional 10 per cent off the ticket price for their Tuesday ticket purchase. Red Swan Pizza, with two locations in Chilliwack (45850 Yale Road and 5885 Vedder Road), is offering an eight-inch pepperoni pizza for $3.95.
