Agassiz non-profit seeks new executive director, offers generous compensation package

AGASSIZ — A non-profit in Agassiz is looking for a new full-time executive director to lead and strategically manage its operations.

Agassiz-Harrison Community Services Society says in an online job posting that it seeks an executive director that will lead and manage the charitable society by inspiring, leading and collaborating with the organization’s highly dedicated and engaged staff and volunteers.

Among a multitude of responsibilities, the job description calls on the successful candidate to develop and maintain an operational plan, oversee planning and implementation of AHCSS programming, and prepare departmental and consolidated budgets for presentation at board meetings for approval. The next executive director will also be tasked with overseeing community relations and advocacy and pinpointing risk management procedures by identifying risks and implementing controls, and participating with the board of directors in formulating a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization moving forward.

Necessary qualifications consist of at least five years of progressive management experience in a non-profit setting and either a university degree or related academic coursework, accompanied by a sound understanding of leadership and management principles, coupled with experience working with non-profit boards, and grant-writing experience.
