Prince George beats Chilliwack with overtime win
CHILLIWACK – Kilian McGregor-Bennett’s second goal of the game at 2:20 of overtime lifted the Prince George Spruce Kings to a 4 – 3 victory over the Chiefs Friday (Jan. 12) night in Chilliwack.
Matt Argentina scored in the first period and Caleb Elfering and Brian Morse scored in the second period to provide Chilliwack with a 3 -1 lead heading into the third period. However Prince George tied the game with two goals 29 seconds apart early in the third period to even the game.
Prince George outshot Chilliwack 32 – 30 while each team went 1 for 4 on the powerplay.
The Chiefs will host Surrey Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Chilliwack Coliseum.
