MISSION — Mission Memorial Hospital’s emergency room is temporarily closed Saturday night, and patients are asked to divert away from the emergency room in Mission due to a flood that occurred in the emergency department.

According to Fraser Health’s website, and a Facebook post from Mission Fire Rescue Service, the hospital’s emergency room is out of service and closed for an undetermined amount of time due to a broken water pipe. The incident happened sometime after 5 p.m., according to scanner traffic.

All ER patient care is being diverted to Ridge Meadows Hospital (11666 Laity Street, Maple Ridge) and Abbotsford Regional Hospital, 32900 Marshall Road, until further notice.
