ABBOTSFORD — Over a dozen vehicles were impounded by the Abbotsford Police Department over the New Year’s long weekend as police cracked down on impaired drivers who had too much to drink.
According to a social media post from the department, AbbyPD stopped and removed 15 high-risk motorists from its roadways within its coverage area. There were multiple sobriety checkpoints throughout Abbotsford.
Among the stats police released:
- 90-day immediate roadside prohibitions: 5
- 3-day immediate roadside rrohibitions: 2
- 24-hour driving suspensions: 1
- Excessive Speeding: 7
- Vehicles Impounded: 15
