COLUMBIA VALLEY — Volunteers from the Columbia Valley Fire Department braved the elements Monday night (Dec. 4) to collect over $5,500 in cash donations and 50-plus boxes of food for the Chilliwack Salvation Army.
Members of CVFD went door to door for the department’s annual food drive in an effort to gather nonperishable items and cash donations for the Salvation Army.
Due to the generosity of Columbia Valley residents, the department packed 52 full boxes of items into the Salvation Army van and collected $5,585 in donations.
“Thank you for opening your doors for those in need this holiday season,” the department wrote on Facebook.
