Chilliwack Chiefs extend winning streak to six with victory over Langley
CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Chiefs are one of the hottest teams in the BCHL, posting their sixth consecutive victory Sunday night in Chilliwack, a 5 – 1 win over the Langley Rivermen.
Mateo Mrsic, Brady Milburn, Oliver Beaulieu, Dylan Kinch, and Matt Argentina scored goals for the Chiefs who outshot Langley 33 – 19. Austin McNicholas surrendered the lone Langley goal to Aaron Reierson early in the first period.
With the win, the Chiefs continued to climb the standings. Chilliwack is fifth in the Coastal Division with 25 points, just one behind fourth-place Nanaimo and only eight points behind first-place Surrey. The Chiefs will be in Surrey on Friday in their next action.
