Coquitlam RCMP investigating discovery of man with head injuries
COQUITLAM — Coquitlam RCMP are appealing to the public for information and dash-cam footage following the discovery of an unconscious and injured man late Friday (Dec. 1) night.
At approximately 11:55 p.m., a 56-year-old man was found lying in the south-side bicycle lane of Guildford Way near Falcon Drive. The individual had suffered significant head injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
The victim, described as a 6-foot-tall Caucasian male with a shaved head, brown beard, and blue eyes, was believed to have been walking alone along the south side of Guildford Way between 11 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. that night. He was wearing a black suit, black blazer, white dress shirt, and either dark dress shoes or was barefoot. The man had a heavy build.
“We are seeking the community’s assistance in reconstructing the events leading to the man’s injuries,” stated Corporal Alexa Hodgins, Media Relations Officer.
