Winter Jubilee highlights Abbotsford weekend
ABBOTSFORD — As Abbotsford kicks off the holiday season with its annual Winter Jubilee Saturday (Nov. 18), city officials are reminding residents of a temporary road closure in the downtown to make room for the event.
The Winter Jubilee is scheduled to run from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday in downtown Abbotsford. Those attending can expect to see a variety of vendors, musicians and plenty of food options. The highlight of the event will be the historic tree lighting at 7 p.m. And of course Santa Clause is expected to make an appearance to take pictures with children.
Road closures will begin at 11 a.m. and extend until 11:30 p.m. Montrose Avenue will be inaccessible to traffic from South Fraser Way to George Ferguson Way. Additionally, Essendene Avenue will be closed from Pauline Street to Gladys Avenue during the same timeframe.
