MANNING PARK — The B.C. government plans to modify the boundary description of E.C. Manning Park east of Hope by removing one hectare of land adjacent to Highway 3.
According to a news release dated October 31 from the Ministry of the Attorney General, the proposed amendment will allow the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure to replace the aging Snass Creek and 19 Mile bridges, which the government says are both nearing the end of their serviceable lifespan.
The provincial government has introduced the miscellaneous statutes amendment act (No. 3), 2023, to the legislative assembly on Oct. 31, 2023. The amendments still need to be passed by the legislature, including this one involving E.C. Manning Park.
