CHILLIWACK — Members of the RCMP Emergency Response Team responded to the 45400 block of Watson Road Friday afternoon to reportedly execute a search warrant at a home on the north side of the road.

That same house was the site of a reported overdose on Sunday afternoon, prompting emergency personnel from the Chilliwack Fire Department and BC Emergency Health Services to respond to the residence in question.

According to residents and witnesses who live in the area, RCMP members converged on the home Friday afternoon around 2 p.m. and raided the home. Residents nearby reported hearing two loud bangs and sirens as officers reportedly had their weapons drawn. One witness said ERT members executed a search warrant at the residence.

Police remained on scene for hours on Friday. Watson Road and Sappers Way were blocked off at some point.
