CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack firefighters respond to all types of incidents, from residential alarms to motor vehicle incidents, structure fires and medical calls, just to name a few.

One call for service this week, however, had an unusual outcome.

Chilliwack firefighters were dispatched to Lenora Crescent on the north side of town Wednesday afternoon (August 16) for the smell of natural gas. The call came in at approximately 1:44 p.m. Wednesday.

After checking the scene for any sign of fire or a gas leak, along with gas meter readings, a Chilliwack firefighter indicated on dispatch transmissions that the smell of gas could be chalked up to the smell of dirty diapers.
