CHILLIWACK — A real estate promotional sign has popped up on Young Road in Chilliwack, boasting of the forthcoming development of 25 modern homes with legal suites.

According to promotional signs that now appear at 9825 Young Road and at 45135 Watson Road, Uptown Homes is a 25-unit housing development that will feature detached homes with legal suites. The development appears to be approximately 50 metres east of Young Road, and about one kilometre north of downtown Chilliwack.

“Tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood that’s close to everything,” according to a description on Uptownhomes.ca. “Uptown has 25 detached homes with 5 bedroom and 3 Bathroom + den which includes legal suite. With the goal to create a close-knit community for families close to [the] District 1881 neighbourhood, we considered every detail when planning Uptown.”

The Young Road sign is located on the front of an existing single-family home, but the actual development will be located on Bonny Avenue. The exact address of the new homes is tentatively listed as 46022 Bonny Avenue. However, 46022 Bonny Avenue does not appear as a registered address on BC Assessment.

Uptown Homes will offer up to seven site plans built in two phases.

Realtor Aman Bhatti (778-859-6276) is listed as the contact person on the promotional sign on Young Road. This same sign also appears at 45135 Watson Road, but the Uptown Homes website does not reference anything about a housing development on two vacant lots in the 45100 block of Watson Road in Sardis.
