
BC Wildfire battling human-caused Chehalis River fire north of Hemlock Valley
HEMLOCK VALLEY — BC Wildfire Service continues to battle a fire deemed out of control north of Hemlock Valley.
The Chehalis River fire was first discovered on June 3 and has grown to 767 hectares as of Tuesday, July 25. It is located 1.3 km north of Chehalis Lake.
The fire has been classified as out of control, meaning it continues to spread and is not responding to suppression efforts.
BC Wildfire believes the fire was caused by human activity.
