CHILLIWACK — BC Hydro estimates that over 350 customers in Fairfield Island in Chilliwack will be without power until Monday afternoon.
A motor vehicle accident hit a utility pole near 46955 Hope River Road before 9 a.m., prompting a massive power outage that affected over 2,200 customers Monday morning (July 24). A white car reportedly hit a utility pole.
While Hydro has restored power to the majority of those impacted customers, about 357 customers north of Hope River Road aren’t expected to have their power back on until 2 p.m. Monday.
The customers include an area along Hope River Road, north of Hope River Road, and east of Ponderay Street.
