Chilliwack-area fire halls to host Canada Day festivities

CHILLIWACK — With relatively mild weather and somewhat sunny skies forecast for this Saturday, it’s a great time for Chilliwack residents and families to visit two fire halls for Canada Day activities.

Fire Hall No. 1 at 45950 Cheam Avenue in Chilliwack will host a pancake breakfast by donation this Saturday, July 1 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. by donation. During the 2022 Canada Day celebration, Chilliwack firefighters allowed kids to practice their fire hose expertise, and it’s likely they’ll be doing that again this year.

The Chilliwack River Valley Fire Department will host an open house and BBQ (by donation) this Saturday, July 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be lots of activities for the kids and equipment to see, and a chance for Chilliwack River Valley residents to meet the roughly 28 volunteers that comprise the all-volunteer fire department.
