Chilliwack Fire Dept. continues to investigate cause of Carleton Street fire
**UPDATE at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday: Chilliwack RCMP Corporal Carmen Kiener says the fire originated in a shed in the backyard of the property and spread to the carport of the house. The investigation is ongoing, Cpl. Kiener said.**
At 12:37 am Chilliwack RCMP responded to a structure fire on Carlton Street. No injuries were sustained, it was determined to have originated in a shed in the backyard and spread to the carport of the house. Any grow op, if there is one, has nothing to do with the fire. The investigations is ongoing.
CHILLIWACK — Fire officials with the Chilliwack Fire Department continue to investigate what may have caused Sunday morning’s two-alarm blaze in the 9200 block of Carleton Street.
Approximately 25 firefighters from Halls 1, 2, 4 and 6 were dispatched to a residential structure fire on Carleton Street at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, June 25. Firefighters discovered a single-family home heavily involved in fire, with flames spreading to nearby vehicles and up into the roof area of an adjacent residential duplex.
