CHILLIWACK — Adult & Teen Challenge of B.C., which has an outreach presence in Chilliwack, Abbotsford and other locations in B.C., has named Angie Appenheimer as its new CEO.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, June 3, the addiction recovery group said it selected Appenheimer after the board of directors set out in December 2022 to find a chief executive officer, at the request of the current executive director, since the lead position had expanded significantly in the last few years.

“We had many amazing applicants and wish them the best in their professional journey,” Adult & Teen Challenge said. “Angie has demonstrated skills, experience, passion, and proven servant leadership in her tenure with the ministry. Please join us in congratulating Angie Appenheimer on this very important post.”

The CEO role will focus on seeking a fresh vision and reaching new levels of success while preserving the history, traditions, and DNA of the Adult & Teen Challenge foundation. The position calls for Appenheimer to oversee the strategic plan, including operational, financial, administrative, and human resources of the provincial ministry. Appenheimer will serve the organization by acting as liaison with the Adult & Teen Challenge B.C. board of directors, government, public and private partnerships, ensuring the gospel remains central and the implementation of strategic initiatives that benefit the marginalized individuals the organization serves.
