Chestnut Springs Bakery in Yarrow to close, reopen offering wood-fired pizza

CHILLIWACK — Chestnut Springs Bakery has carved out a niche offering a quaint place to have coffee and assorted baked goods the past seven years.

Big changes are coming, however. The boutique bakery operating in the heart of Yarrow announced on Facebook earlier this month that it will close as a bakery this Sunday, May 28, but reopen offering something much different than its current offerings.

“I want to say a huge thank you to all our special guests that have visited Chestnut Springs over the past 7 years,” the Facebook post read. “This Sunday will be our last day as Chestnut Springs Bakery. But, the exciting news is we will be reopening in a few months with some new and special pizzas and more! Can’t wait to see everyone again.”

Chestnut Springs Bakery, located at 42300 Yarrow Central Road, had been selling Anita’s Organics, baked goods, and Republica-branded coffee and was one of the few retail storefronts in Yarrow offering coffee and baked items.

“We will be making some changes to the layout and will reopen soon, focusing on our wood-fired pizza and with a full-service restaurant,” the Chestnut Springs Bakery website (chestnutsprings.ca) stated. “And fear not – your loyalty points and gift cards will be welcome. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon. If you have any questions, please call Cori at 604-832-6167.”
