RCMP to hold recruiting sessions in Chilliwack later this month

CHILLIWACK — As the RCMP often like to say in their recruiting messages online, a uniform with your name on it is waiting for you.

In an effort to bolster its ranks and add to its numbers, officers from the B.C. RCMP recruiting team will be coming through Chilliwack for two open house recruiting sessions later this month.

There will be two career information sessions at the Chilliwack RCMP building, near the UFV Chilliwack campus, on Tuesday, May 23 from 2:30-4 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m., at 45348 Caen Avenue, #1122.

In a news release sent to media organizations across British Columbia this past week, provincial RCMP recruiters say applicants who are interested in joining the RCMP can enter into a flexible posting plan that enables them to work in available positions across B.C. if they choose to.

In other words, all B.C. applicants wishing to join the RCMP are guaranteed to come back to work in B.C.
