Abbotsford Police release date for second annual Movie in the Park

ABBOTSFORD — It’s not even summer yet but the Abbotsford Police department is already looking forward to September and it’s Movie in the Park night.

The AbbyPD took to social media to announce Movie in the Park will be held at Mill Lake Park on Friday, September 1. Residents are encouraged to plan ahead to attend with their lawn chairs and snacks.

It’s also encouraging members of the public to reach out on its Facebook page with suggestions for the feature film that will be played on the silver screen. Early suggestions include classic movies such as ET, Indiana Jones, American Graffiti and Princess Bride.

According to the AbbyPD, the first Movie in the Park night last September attracted over two thousand people to Mill Lake Park to watch the animated feature – The Bad Guys.
