Chilliwack RCMP capture nearly naked man after he breaks into shop, steals items
CHILLIWACK — Stealing items from residential neighbourhoods in an era of seemingly ubiquitous security cameras is already risky business.
But the job got a lot harder for a burly man who decided to get the job done Saturday morning (Mar. 18) without any clothes on except for socks, triggering several calls to the Chilliwack RCMP detachment.
Chilliwack RCMP Sgt. Krista Vrolyk said Mounties in Chilliwack received multiple reports of a suspicious male in the area of Chilliwack Central Road and Young Road in which the alleged male was described as being naked or “mostly undressed.”
Police had received information received from one witness that a male matching this description had allegedly broken into a detached shop and trailer and stolen some items.
