Chilliwack Chiefs forward Aaron Davidson, a 6’9″ fan favourite, commits to University of Waterloo
CHILLIWACK — While Aaron Davidson might be known for his towering 6-foot-9, 250-pound frame to opposing hockey players in the BCHL, the Chilliwack Chiefs forward is perhaps best known for becoming a fan favourite in Chilliwack because of his work ethic and love of the community.
In a news release Tuesday (Mar. 14), the Chiefs announced that Davidson has committed to play for the University of Waterloo Warriors next season.
“We’re extremely proud of Aaron,” said Chiefs head coach and GM Brian Maloney. “He’s come into this organization, put his head down with an incredible work ethic while asking many questions, and has been rewarded for it. He’s fought off a lot of people telling him that he’ll never be able to advance his game to the next level. Good things happen to good people, and he’s one of the best to come through this program. We look forward to continuing to help Aaron further his development on and off the ice. So proud of you Aaron.”
Davidson’s reputation as a leader garnered the attention of Waterloo head coach Brian Bourque.
