CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Rona hardware retail store on Yale Road raised over $1,000 for Cyrus Centre Ministries in Chilliwack as part of the company’s 5th annual Heroes campaign that saw 313 teams from across Canada participate between September and October.

Lowe’s Canada announced last week that it raised over $1.44 million from the highly successful Heroes campaign. These funds will be distributed to 242 charities, NGOs, and public schools across the country. Each local team chose their own cause to support, meaning the Rona store at 45656 Yale Road selected Cyrus Centre Ministries as its preferred charity.

“Helping build stronger communities is a top priority at Lowe’s Canada, and this campaign reflects that engagement. With 242 organizations supported, we hope to make a difference in the lives of many. These are challenging times—both economically and socially. These organizations’ needs are greater than ever, and our teams are working extremely hard to support them,” said Mélanie Lussier, Director, External Communications and Sustainable Development, for Lowe’s.

Rona and Réno-Dépôt corporate stores are part of Mooresville, North Carolina-based Lowe’s.
