CHILLIWACK — Dignitaries and special guests will gather tonight at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre for the Eighth Council Inauguration.
Chilliwack City Council members, including Mayor Ken Popove, will be sworn in for a four-year term against a festive backdrop of performers and RCMP Honour Guard at 6 p.m. at Hub International Theatre.
The evening slate calls for a singing of O Canada, declarations and oaths of office, as well as performances by piper Kendal Clarke, singer Adrienne Reitsma, the Chilliwack Community Band, and pianist Stuart Young.
