CHILLIWACK — The Fraser Valley Children’s Chorus is teaming up with the Richmond Youth Honour Choir and Chilliwack Youth Orchestra and two solo artists to hold its first ever “Voices for Peace” Remembrance Day concert on Sunday, November 13 at 2 p.m. at Yarrow United Mennonite Church.

The community concert is completely free, no donations of any kind are being requested, and organizers say it is a family-friendly event that will not only bring a stellar community of musicians together, but help promote peace as the primary way forward.

“This is our first Remembrance Day concert,” Fraser Valley Children’s Chorus wrote on Facebook. “It is a free community concert, to promote peace and creative thoughts to help us find peaceful solutions. It is a family friendly event that brings a great community of musicians together. This will be a wonderful and inspiring concert to help us move in connect in peaceful ways. It is free! We will not ask for donations. It is a “Pay-It-Forward” event. We know that to work for peace will require a sacrifice at some point, so this concert is our gift to you in advance!”

The solo artists performing are Perry Dickison and Brennan Sinclair.
