Pedestrian sent to hospital following Abbotsford crash

ABBOTSFORD — A 24-year-old woman is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in the 33000 block of South Fraser Way in Abbotsford Thursday afternoon (Oct. 27). The collision occurred shortly before 5 p.m.

Abbotsford police say emergency crews treated the woman on the scene and transported her to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Meantime a 39-year-old driver remained on the scene and has been cooperating with the police investigation. Police investigators do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the collision.

In a Abbotsford police statement, investigators state “the investigation is still in its initial phase and investigators are looking to determine where the pedestrian was at the time of the collision.”
