Suspected shooter in Chilliwack double homicide found dead

CHILLIWACK — RCMP have confirmed 50 year-old Eric John Shestalo has been found dead in the Bridal Falls area. RCMP Deputy Commissioner Dwayne McDonald told a Monday (July 25) afternoon news conference the body of Shestalo was found today.

Shestalo was accused of shooting two women and a man at a home in Chilliwack Thursday. Both women died while the man suffered non-life threatening issues. He fled the scene in a 1990 Jeep. RCMP found the vehicle the next day in the Bridal Falls area.

McDonald told the news conference they believe Shestalo knew both of the women and said all signs pointed to a targeted attack.
