Two weeks of overnight off-ramp closures in Abbotsford could begin Friday: B.C. govt.
ABBOTSFORD – The B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Transit says motorists traveling through the Fraser Valley should expect traffic-pattern changes on Highway 1 through Abbotsford as early as Friday.
According to a statement from the province, overnight closures are being planned for the westbound Highway 1 off-ramp to Highway 11 starting Friday, Apr. 24.
As construction progresses on widening Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley, drivers will be rerouted through the McCallum Road Interchange (exit 90) while the overnight off-ramp closures are in place.
The off-ramp will be closed nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Friday, April 24 through to Wednesday, April 29, and Monday, May 4 through to Wednesday, May 13. The province says the closures are necessary for contractors to relocate utilities.
