Abbotsford to host writers, authors at annual literary festival in November
ABBOTSFORD — UFV Abbotsford is inking a new page of scribes, poets and troubadours at this year’s Fraser Valley Writers Festival (FVWF).
The free, two-day festival kicks off next month, featuring 12 acclaimed Canadian authors who will offer writing workshops, live podcast recordings, and panel discussions with a range of renowned authors.
“Watching books change hands, hearing authors read, listening to exchanges between author and audience… these things remind me that the book is a living organism, and that our collective love (and need) for books is real,” said festival panellist Nick Thran.
Headliners include Charles Demers, comedian and author of The Eh Team, and Evelyn Lau, poet and author of fifteen books, including the just-released Parade of Storms.
