CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Chiefs have signed forward Reese Shaw, a 6’2”, 194 lb forward. Shaw is from Coon Rapids, Minnesota and has played all of his hockey south of the border. The 20 year old had 15 points in 56 games with the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL last season.

Shaw has committed to play for Lake Superior State university next season following his graduation from the Chiefs.

“Reese brings both size and veteran experience to our lineup. As a natural right-handed centre, he’ll give us a big boost in the faceoff circle.” Said Head Coach & General Manager Brian Maloney. “We’ve struggled at times to generate offence, often due to a lack of size and puck protection. Reese will help in both areas, making an impact with and without the puck.”

Shaw could be in the lineup this weekend when the Chiefs head north to Prince George for a pair of games.
