Those looking for a more leisurely day can head to the Chilliwack Museum, where admission is free from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors will be able to take part in an interactive memory workshop.

The evening celebrations will take place at Exhibition Field. Activities begin at 5 p.m. and include stage entertainment, food trucks, children’s activities and the Clearview Demolition sponsored drone show to wrap up the day.

In Abbotsford, the festivities begin at 11 a.m. with the “Lights, Camera, Canada Day!” parade, which runs along South Fraser Way from Bourquin Crescent to W.J. Mouat Secondary School.

At 1 p.m., the action shifts to Abbotsford Exhibition Park for the Family Festival, including zones for agriculture, sports, STEM activities, and live entertainment. Local organizations will be showcased in the Community Showcase, while food trucks and a handmade marketplace round out the day.

The main stage will feature afternoon entertainment such as puppet shows, dancers, and pie-eating contests, with evening performances from artists such as Elijah Bond, The Della Kit, and The Cambree Lovesy Band. A fireworks finale, presented by Fraser Valley Auto Mall, begins at 10 p.m.

The City of Abbotsford has added enhanced accessibility features this year, including accessible washrooms, a sensory-friendly zone, multilingual volunteers, complimentary wheelchairs, and designated mobility drop-off areas.

Hope is bringing back its popular Canada Day Car Show & Shine from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Later, the celebration continues at the Hope Recreation Centre with live music, games, vendors, a beer garden, and family fun from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
