ALDERGROVE — Candidates running to represent the Abbotsford–Langley riding will each have a chance to flex their earth-minded policies at a unique All-Candidates meeting in Aldergrove on Wednesday, April 16.

The Bertrand Creek Enhancement Society (BCES) is hosting the event at the Langley Arts Council on 26670 29th Avenue.

Five of the six candidates have been confirmed to attend:

  • Aeriol Alderking – People’s Party of Canada
  • Dharmasena Yakandawela – NDP
  • Kevin Gillies – Liberal Party
  • Melissa Snazell – Green Party
  • Mike de Jong – Independent

The Conservative Party candidate, Sukhman Gill, has declined.

The event runs from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Audience members are invited to enjoy refreshments while asking local and nationally relevant questions on environmental issues.

The BCES is comprised of community members who care for the Bertrand Creek and watershed that flows through Aldergrove in Langley through garbage clean-ups, invasive species removals, educational initiatives and more.

Details are available on the forum’s event page.
