Chilliwack RCMP announce arrest of Alexander Leon Rhodda Dumyn, wanted for arson

ChilCHILLIWACK — Chilliwack RCMP have arrested a 44-year-old Chilliwack man in connection with arson of an uninhabited residence from 2020.

The suspect in question is not connected to the recent string of suspicious fires that occurred between Monday, Sept. 12 and Tuesday, Sept. 13 on the north side of Chilliwack.

According to a statement issued Tuesday (Sept. 13) by RCMP Sgt. Krista Vrolyk, media spokesperson for the Chilliwack RCMP, Alexander Leon Rhodda Dumyn had been wanted for arson contrary to Section 433(a) of the Criminal Code.

The alleged arson associated with this warrant is from 2020 to an uninhabited residence.

He is described as a Caucasian male with a height of 6’1″ and a weight of 150 pounds (68 kilograms), brown hair, and hazel eyes.
