HOPE — Hope Fire Department says two of its engines were dispatched Friday afternoon for a commercial vehicle trailer on fire.
According to a social media post, Hope fire crews were dispatched at 4:49 p.m. Friday, March 14 after a semi trailer caught fire on Corbett Street between 4th and 5th Avenues.
Once they arrived, firefighters discovered thick black smoke emanating from a trailer loaded with plywood. Hope Fire says a team of eight firefighters and officers worked quickly to contain the fire and extinguish it, preventing it from extending beyond the point of origin.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
