ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Police Department dealt with everything from threats to break-ins, domestic violence calls and sudden deaths, just to name a few, during a busy weekend.

Police in Abbotsford say their frontline teams managed 370 police files between 5 p.m. on Friday and 6 a.m. Monday morning. They responded to break and enters, assaults, domestic dispute/violence calls, mischiefs, noise complaints, traffic issues, threats and sadly, sudden deaths.

Police also removed 22 impaired drivers over a roughly 60-hour span, conducted multiple liquor establishment checks and carried out curfew checks on offenders out on bail. Police say three offenders were arrested on outstanding warrants, and assorted traffic enforcement actions were undertaken.

“AbbyPD officers focus on proactive policing to ensure public safety within our community,” the department said. “Policing a growing city involves many aspects.”
